Peer Review Process

The peer review process at Al-Turath Medical Journal (ATMJ) is vital to ensuring the highest standards of scientific quality, integrity, and objectivity. ATMJ operates a double-blind peer-review system, where the identities of both the authors and the reviewers remain strictly confidential throughout the evaluation.

Workflow & Timeline:

  1. Submission: Authors must submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online manuscript management system. First-time users are required to register and create an account prior to submission.

  2. Plagiarism Screening: To guarantee originality, all submitted manuscripts undergo similarity screening via iThenticate before being assigned to external expert reviewers.

  3. Review & Decision: The review process is conducted rigorously by independent international experts. Corresponding authors will receive formal updates and editorial decisions via the online portal within 1 to 2 months of submission.
