Mycobacterium tuberculosis is highly successful as an intracellular pathogen that has developed strategies to survive even in the presence of high immune pressure. Blood were collected from a total of 65 patients confirm with tuberculosis(TB), who attended the Institute of Chest and Respiratory Diseases/ Medical City in Baghdad during the period between January-2026 till the end of July-2026, and 15 apparently healthy individual as control group, from both genders with age rang (1-25) year. The Immunological study was carried out toestimatethe level of TNF-α and IFN-Ɣ in patients and control group by ELIZA method using causabiokit. The effect of age and gender on TNF-α and IFN-Ɣ levels of patients were studied. The outcome ofTNF-αshowed an elevation in its value among TB patients (49.66 ± 6.24), in comparison with control group (10.952 ± 3.07),also the level of IFN-γ in patients was found high with mean value (38.27 ± 10.82), in comparison with healthy control group (3.069 ± 0.84).it was appeared that elevation ofTNF-α and IFN-Ɣ values significantly not effected by age and gender.
